We all know that time passes very quickly when you have children and that they grow quicker than we can imagine. This is the exact reason why preserving those teeny toes in beautiful imagery is so important. But something else is also key...

The images created aren't just pretty pictures to place into photo albums (they absolutely are, but there's more!). They are memories - of your children at that age (whether it be newborn, older baby, first birthday or as a toddler and beyond), of your family at that stage in life, but also of you in that moment, enjoying being present with none of the other distractions of life.

Photo sessions are an experience- something you can remember whilst reminiscing and looking back through the images - the time spent together with your family during that moment, creating those memories. The moments your shared together and created in your photographs are then preserved infinitely - for you to look back on as your children grow, for them to look back on when they are adults and for them to share with their own children as the family line progresses.

The power of images for future generations is sometimes looked over - photographs are the only tangible thing we have to remember loved ones who may no longer be with us. They can also take us right back to a moment and evoke so many core memories we have deep within our minds, sometimes things we may even have forgotten ("do you remember our baby being that tiny" is a question I ask myself frequently.)

You may not realise it, but capturing moment of your family in images is, I believe, one of the most important part of our lives, vital to memory making and keeping the sense of nostalgia throughout our journeys - your children will absolutely thank you for these moments when they look back on them in years to come. Take the photo. Be present in them. Create those moments.
