Families & Older Children

I love photographing toddlers and children in family sessions - they have so much personality! These images are much more active, capturing smiles, laughs and generally just having fun! In these sessions, I will start by chatting to the little one, making them feel comfortable in their surrounding, shooting the odd random image to get them used to the flash lights, and then once they're truly at ease, will play games, add props and toys and maybe even a bit of music and dancing to get them up and going!

Sessions for older children can be to celebrate a birthday, a special occasion, or just to have some updated photos of your little ones as they grow and become a little person of their own.

At my photography studio in St Albans, I welcome parents into the photos with their baby and children - so often, they are the ones taking photos of their children at home and miss out on being in those memories! It's really important to me to capture the family unit, with the connections and love you have for each other, frozen in images to decorate the walls of your home.

I always have a baby or child led approach to my sessions to ensure everyone is relaxed and happy, that's the most important thing for creating your precious images.
